The BEST High-Protein Vegan Snacks In 2025.

The BEST High-Protein Vegan Snacks In 2025.

When I say THE BEST High-protein vegan snacks, I mean the ones I ACTUALLY enjoy and even non-vegans think are DELICIOUS.

When hearing about vegan snacks, people think of Taki’s, Oreos, or pastries.

If you’ve never had one and are just thinking of seaweed, tofu, or other veggie straws, I hope this helps give you some snack ideas for a close vegan friend.

If they’re super active, health-conscious, or just looking for something yummy this list is PERFECT.

Build muscle, recover quicker, or just enjoying a little treat has NEVER been easier in the past decade that I’ve been vegan.

I’ll list out each of my FAVORITES in order, and break down WHY below.

Please note, I am not currently affiliated with any of these companies, however; by linking through amazon’s affiliates, I DO receive a small commission as a result of your purchase. If you don’t shop through amazon or wish purchase them in-store at someplace else, you can circumvent any means of supporting my blog and page if you wish to do so.

I prefer to be entirely frank on that above because every person has different preferences for taste and I like to remind people that while bias does exist, the entire point of this post is to raise more awareness for vegan products in general. Amazon affiliate links make a few literal pennies on commissions, it adds up to a small bonus of maybe an order of one of these snacks that I still have to pay out of pocket. If I become sponsored of affiliated with any products on ANY of my websites, I always make updates and disclaimers IMMEDIATELY to clarify my position.

Anywhoo, please enjoy the list and hopefully some new tasty treats in your life.

Clif dropped the Builders bars during my sophomore year of college, back then the only flavor they really had was chocolate and it was INCREDIBLE.

It was inexpensive, high in protein, and actually a VEGAN PROTEIN BAR!!

Clocking in at a whooping 20 GRAMS per bar, this is almost as much as a soylent/protein shake.

It can help bridge hunger between meal times while being fairly decent nutritionally while you’re busy!

The OG Chocolate bar holds a special place in my heart, but they REALLY cooked with the Vanilla Almond.

I absolutely LOVE Vanilla (french vanilla, not so much, but it’s still good) and their Vanilla bar KILLS.

You guys have no idea how sensational it is to hit a VICIOUS afternoon workout, feeling absolutely ravenous and devouring a Vanilla Almond bar.

It is absolutely Unmatched. It doesn’t taste like a brick and it’s fairly soft compared to there others.

For my vanilla haters, no worries, asides from the two “Standard” flavors (choc/vanilla) they also branched out heavily:

They orignally had a cookies and creme flavour that they now have replaced with OREO’s formula and it’s exceptional on its own too.

Goodluck finding it in stock near you though, you will probably have to order it online.

If you love MINT chocolate, they have something for you too!

Asides from those, I figure I may just throw out some more products they have since they got the #1 spot.

Clif also has nut-butter filled products, their OG bars and snack options too (zbars), but none of them come close to the protein content of the Builders.

I HIGHLY recommend getting a box or a variety pack and seeing what flavour sticks out the most to you.

As a post-workout, snack for hiking, or just a little sweet treat, CLIF hit the nail on the head with this one.

This is the penultimate, getting your macros in, while being highly convenient vegan protein-bar.

They are in MOST stores, tons of gas stations, and littered all around the United States.
Way to go, Clif!

2. Louisville Vegan Jerky

Now in terms of SNACKS, Louisville Vegan Jerky is absolutely The #1 in the flavor department.

By a mile, no contest.

It’s a proper SNACK Snack.

It’s also HEAVY on the protein, which is stellar.

They range anywhere from 12g to 20g of protein per bag from what I’ve seen.

Let me preface this entry by saying this: I was NOT raised Vegan or Vegetarian.

I went vegan all by myself back in 2015, I’m the ONLY vegan in my entire blood-line.

I LOVED Jack Links’ Teryaki jerky (and slim jims, but there are NO similiar products to slimjims RIP)

If you’ve seen my instagram [@DamonDesade] you know anytime a NEW vegan meat product comes out, I try and review it.

They all fall FAR too short for me to REALLY love them, but I digress.

There’s just something about the weird mushroom-y… still a mushroom, now plant-cooked-with-jerky flavour that I don’t enjoy with other vegan “jerky’s”

Louisville is the exception to the rule.
(Btw, if they, or any company ever, make a slim-jim-esque product and it’s good, Y’all will see me becoming the unofficial spokesperson.)

Originally I tried them around 2021 and was pleasantly surprised by how much flavour it had without being TOO chewy or like a piece of cardboard.

A few months laters, I picked up their black-pepper, devoured it… and then proceeded to get the last 3 bags at my local giant eagle.

Since then, all of my family and friends will snack along to some of the General Tso’s jerky bags I get.

They are ALWAYS dropping new flavours in small batches, and I don’t think a SINGLE product has missed yet.

If I get a new favorite after my order in July, I’ll update this article, but as of now their General Tso’s Vegan jerky is A1, Absolute S-Tier!

It reminds me a slightly softer jack link’s teriyaki and it’s AMAZING.

A great VEGAN alternative that doesn’t stray heavily from your old favourites.

  • Locally Sourced, Chef Inspired Flavors: Our jerky isn’t just about texture – it’s about taste. Don’t get it twisted, our…

This is by far the best portable, macro-friendly snack that you can mindlessly eat without feeling like you’re TRYING to hit a protein goal.

They may be difficult to find in some rural places, but a lot of major retailers are slowly starting to bring them in and that’s AWESOME.

I sincerely hope they get to continue on and making more delicious snacks.

3. Lenny & Larry’s Cookies

UH-OH BUSTED!!

Was a line etched into my brain well over a decade ago by Rich Piana… a fellow Lenny and Larry’s enthusiast.

In his wise words “This doesn’t count as a meal.. it’s a yummy Snack I’m having this because I ENJOY IT.”

I also, HEAVILY enjoy the chocolate chip Lenny and Larry’s.

These bad-boys clock in at a whooping 16g per cookie.

They have a WIDE range of flavours.. some I can’t find anymore, like their birthday cake ones that were in stores for AGES (rip).

I don’t order these online.. nor do I get the tiny cookie bites, personally they aren’t so great that I go OUT of my way for them like the other two.

But when I’m out and already shopping, if I can’t get a Builders bar, I will absolutely get a “yummy snack” cookie.

(Unless its the double chocolate/brownie one.. [Red package] that one is TOO rich for me to be honest.)

IT’s ALWAYS the blue chocolate chip cookie.. OR the snickerdoodle.

Never knew I liked snickerdoodles until I had that one.. it’s very very messy though, so be CAREFUL to not get crumbs.

It isn’t heavy on your stomach.. doesn’t hurt my digestion and it’s actually like having a sweet soft chocolatey treat thats loaded with protein.

If you want to snag yourself MY favourite here you go:

  • Shockingly Delicious: Satisfyingly firm and chewy, our delectable Chocolate Chip vegan protein cookie is packed with pla…
  • Plant Based Protein: With 8g of plant based proteins and 5g of fiber, The Complete Cookie will not only satisfy your tum…

Lenny & Larry’s has stood the test of time and have been around for AGES as a delicious vegan friendly protein snack.. all while never compromising on the mouth-wateringly yummy cookie taste myself and probably millions have enjoyed throughout the ages.

4. READY’s Protein Puffs

Let me start off by saying I LOVE the chipotle puffs and the barbeque are alright, but I have NEVER tried the cinnamon sugar. It autolinks to that as the default when sharing the product as a stand-alone.

Personally I don’t think I would enjoy them either.

These feel like a mix between a high-protein Kix cereal or a VERY brittle air-fried chickpea.

That flavour combo would probably feel like I’m eating a generic high-protein cereal instead of a snack.

If you like bbq flavouring though, this is a solid bet.

These bad-boys come in at 15g of protein, which is awesome considering they are pretty easy to eat an entire bag when you’re watching a TV show.

Absolutely love that.

The bags of chipotle flavour has a slight heat kick to it, but nothing crazy, it’s about the same level you’d get from Taki’s although not as intense.

Overall, I’d say if you’re looking for a higher protein version of Rob’s/hippea’s this is good, it’s just much more condensed.

I have only ever found these through amazon (it was in my recommended/similiar products) but if you find them out anywhere, if they’re cheap, try ’em!

Otherwise, I’d say the lower-protein puffs are much better and worth getting protein from elsewhere. (If you can’t tell, Rob’s dragon puffs are my favourite.)

End of the line! Know anymore High-protein vegan snacks?

That’s about it for vegan snacks that are HIGH in protein that I’ve found.

If you have any, comment them below (so I can try em all out, and maybe encourage others too check it out too)

I’ve tried to make this as “SNACK” related as possible.

I wanted to avoid things like pre-made shakes, or small-meal items like some of the protein ramen cups I’ve had.

This is more of a “convenience item” list of things to leave in the pantry you can take out and enjoy on the go or sitting down.

I’ll probably make a “Lazy & high-protein vegan products” post at some point where I bring up stuff like shakes, microwaveable items, etc etc.

If you have ANY suggestions, comment them down below or email me here: damon@vegainism.com to get more info as a post!

Otherwise, keep checking out the PROTEIN category for more ideas on high-protein vegan stuff as it comes out

Take care y’all and until next time,

Toodles!
